"Workplace ego clashes happen for various reasons," says Dr Lisa Matthewman, Principal Lecturer in Occupational and Organisational Psychology at the University of Westminster. Isolation - the worst weapon used by bullies in office

The worst cruelty that can be inflicted on a human being is isolation. - Sukarno (Politician, Indonesia) Isolation adversely affects a person's mental status so much that the person starts behaving in a manner unacceptable to society. "Isolating the targeted employee" is the worst weapon ever used by bullies in an office environment. The introverts are mostly affected. The more the affected person tries to comply with the situation the more isolated the person becomes. If the victim denies any false charge against him/her the higher authority thinks the person is lying. If the victim protests against any bad behavior, she received from the bullies, the person faces more verbal abuse of the highest authority.
